Restaurants Gwinnett

If you live in or around Gwinnett Georgia, then you probably know just how big it is! There are plenty of cities in this growing and thriving county. To be exact, there are 16 cities in the county. For each city we are going to name 2 of the top restaurants for you to checkout and try! Here is a list of the cities we are going to cover in this post:

  • Auburn – population under 10,000 people
  • Berkeley Lake – population under 3,000 people
  • Braselton – estimated to have a population under 13,000 people
  • Buford – estimated population of around 20,000 people

Auburn Restaurants

Auburn is a small town in Gwinnett, with some great food and a population of under 10,000. Our two locations for people to try in this area are have both been highly suggested by locals.

The first place we recommend is Mike’s Margarita Bar and Grill which is a wonder place for some Steak Fajitas and margaritas! Really it’s the best place around to kick back and relax. Locals consider this the go to place for games and drinks.

The second location is called Chen’s Garden. This establishment amazingly has been serving food in its area for almost 20 years! Everyone around here loves getting this place to-go for weekend night when they don’t want to cook or simply have a lot of guests they need to feed. We suggest trying the Moo Goo Gai Pan with some spring rolls on the side!

We are sure both of these locations will give you some small town love along with some big town food.

Berkeley Lake Restaurants

Berkeley Lake is another small town in the large cluster of Gwinnet with a population of around 3,000 people. With this small town, comes some big flavor in our chosen two locations by locals!

The first location is a place we recommend is called Rice n’ Pie! According to their website they are the go to place for Gourmet fusion Pizzas, Hyderabadi Dum Biryani, Chats, Pulav, Thick Shakes, and Treats! Honestly, we have to agree. We suggest trying their 65 pizza and finishing off with a thick shake they are well known for. We love the story and diversity that this place offers. Make sure to check it out!

Our second place to check out in this small town of Berkeley Lake is San Luis Taqueria. This establishment is another proudly locally owned family business. We suggest trying the Carne Asada Tortas with a frozen margarita! This place is great to checkout on Friday and Saturday night.

Braselton Restaurants

Our third town we will be checking out it Braselton. This place comes with some great choices to dine at. Additionally, this town was founded in 1884, so there is plenty to do and see in the area, but we are going to focus on what to eat here!

Our first prime location in this quant area is going to be Jack’s Local Station! This place has awesome reviews, a cozy atmosphere and some great food to go along with those things! We suggest trying one of their local station bowls with a signature cocktail! Locals rave about this place all over the internet, so you might not want to miss out on trying this spot if you are passing through the area.

The second place we recommend people trying in Braselton is The Galloping Galette! An authentic French spot that serves amazing galettes and crêpes straight from Bretagne! We highly suggest people come to this spot to experience a different cuisine. We recommend trying building your own crêpe actually and getting an espresso to kick off your day. If you’re lucky and they are not sold out, make sure to grab some beignets as well!

Buford Restaurants

Finally, our last city we are covering in this post is going to be the lively city of Buford! If you are not visiting this city to checkout the Mall of Georgia, then you might be looking for a great spot to grab a bite to eat! Luckily, we’ve got you covered with our two awesome locations locals told us about in this area.

The first location is going to be a well known establishment called Rico’s World Kitchen. Rico’s World Kitchen is a family owned restaurant located in downtown Buford. This place specializes in international cuisine that is sure to make you feel at home.

If you are visiting this place for the first time, we recommend trying a classic Seafood Po’ Boy. You really can never go wrong with a Po’ Boy anywhere, but this place has especially delicious ones topped off with the proper bread to go with it. This is coming from someone from Louisiana by the way! As always, we go for the fried oysters, but you can get it how you would like it.

After your lunch Po’ Boy you might want to do some quick shopping and then head to our second location Wicked Sushi & Grill! This is a classic sushi spot with some great options for those that like quality sushi over quantity.

We can recommend tons of things, but sushi is all about preference right? We suggest taking a look at their special rolls and choosing one to try with a friend if you’ve never been. As always, get a side of fried rice to go with it and some hot tea! This is sure to make your meal and time in Buford memorable.
